5 Days Rwanda Gorilla & Wildlife safari takes you East of Rwanda to Akagera national park for game viewing – expect to see wildlife like elephants, buffalos, lions, impala, baboons. You will also have a boatride in lake Ihema. The safari the crosses to Volcanoes national park for gorilla trekking and lastly back to Kigali for a city tour before departure

Day 1: Pick Up – Transfer to Akagera National Park
Early morning transfer to Akagera National Park, Eastern Rwanda which is approximately 2 and a half hours drive. On arrival, you will relax while waiting lunch. Later, go out for an evening game drive to search for animals like the African Elephants, Masai giraffes, Antelopes, Zebras, Buffaloes, gazelles, Impala, Baboons, Oribi, Burchell’s zebra, Topi, Bush baby, Leopard, Bushbuck and so many others. Dinner and overnight at Akagera Game Lodge/ Umbrella Pine/Dereva Hotel
Day 2: Game drive and boat trip
After breakfast, you will go for the early morning game drive which will reward you with views of wildlife such as elephants, impala, oribi, bushbuck, antelope, zebra, cape eland, giraffe, buffalo, and if you are lucky visitor you may come across a spotted hyena, lion or leopard. Return to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon, you will go for the canoe ride on Lake Ihema. This will reward you with views of water loving animals like Hippos, out-sized crocodiles and water birds like the papyrus Gonolek, shoebill stork and African fish eagle. Dinner and overnight at Akagera Game Lodge/ Umbrella Pine/Dereva Hotel
Day 3: Transfer to Kigali and to Volcanoes national park
Start an early drive this morning after breakfast; return to Kigali and connect to Park National des Volcans (PNV) in the north for an absolutely unparalleled experience of Mountain gorilla tracking. Dinner and overnight stay at Mountain gorilla view lodge (Luxury)/ La Palme Hotel (Deluxe)/ Muhabura Hotel (Budget)
Day 4: Gorilla Trekking
In the morning after breakfast, you will go for a gorilla trekking experience upon with your packed lunch that takes about 2- 6 hours depending on the movement of gorillas in the forest. On return, you will embark on a transfer to Kigali airport for your scheduled flight.
Day 5: Return to Kigali
Have breakfast at the lodge and later drive back to Kigali to be dropped off at your preferred hotel or transferred to the airport in time for departure flight.
